Is HLX V3 compatible with Victron Energy charge controllers?

Hi,
I want to purchase several KiloVault 1800 HLX 1800Wh 12V Lithium Solar Battery- V3 batteries for a 48 system and I have a Victron Energy Smart Solar MPPT 250 100 charge controller.
My question/worry is, is it compatible with the HLX V3 battery? I ask because I was not able to find any integration guide for it either on this site or on altestore.com
Thanks,
Dubem

Hello Dubem,

Thank you for your interest in KiloVault HLX batteries.

I do not believe that the Victron 250V/100A charge controller is a good match for the HLX batteries.
My concern is that you cannot set the maximum absorption time any lower than 1 hour.  For a 60A or greater charger we recommend setting the absorption time to no more than 2 minutes.  This is possible with charge controllers like the Schneider Conext 60A / 150V and 80A / 600V MPPT charge controllers.

Thanks a lot Marlin for the prompt feedback.

Is that the only hindrance to using the Victron Energy MPPT charge controllers? If so, then it is sorted because the lowest absorption setting on it is 0 minute. Hope that helps?

Thanks

Hey Dubem,

You're very welcome.

Actually yes, that was my only concern with the Victron cc.  Since you can drop the absorption time down to the recommended time, then you're good to go!
