Capacity Loss in cold

Are the PLC’s still recommended for cooler locations? ie, ambient temps if 50-55 degrees? We are concerned about capacity loss.  The spec sheets look acceptable, but does Kilovault still suggest this?

Like with other AGM batteries, the battery capacity increases with increased temperature and decreases with lower temperatures.  The standard temperature used for testing is 77F (25C).

The size of the effect increases when the battery is discharged at a larger current. 50 to 55F (10 to 12C) is well within the operating range of the battery, but you will still see some degradation since that is below the standard testing temperature.

I hope this helps!
